Dredging Trials - Habitat Survey an Regulatory Update
ABPmer has been commissioned to retake a series of photographs to support the development of a baseline habitat survey. The initial images captured earlier this year were deemed unsuitable due to elevated turbidity levels, which compromised their clarity and usefulness.
The updated imagery will be incorporated into a revised Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA), which will be submitted to Natural England for review and comment. Subject to their approval, we anticipate being able to proceed with dredging trials at both harbours in early October.
The outcomes of these trials will inform the feasibility and planning of a full dredging operation at Bridport and Lyme Regis, currently proposed for March/April next year.
